Warren Beath has published three books on the death of James Dean.

Warren was born in California in 1951. He graduated from Fresno State University and has always lived in or around Bakersfield, California where many of the events in the death of James Dean take place.

 Tim Black was born in Oklahoma and raised in Southern California. He is the Director of Audio Visual for Swank Audio Visuals at the Balboa Bay Club & Resort in Newport Beach, California. Tim is a graduate of  Southern California College and earned a B.A. in Communications there in 1983.

Tim lives in the Newport Beach area with his daughter Briana and a cat, Joe Jr.

Tim is an avid reader of Los Angeles-Hollywood history and plays early-Rock and Blues on his old Stratocaster.
